We welcome contributions from impact practitioners and thinkers across Africa.
Your think piece can focus on your work, your organisation’s work, or any topic you care deeply about and can write on with authority.
We seek original content from guest writers—including entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, community organisers, grassroots voices, policymakers, and ecosystem builders. In return, we make this content freely available to the African impact sector, without paywalls.
We do not pay contributors, but we offer a platform to increase visibility for their work, their organisations, or their ideas—helping to amplify their voice and influence within the sector.
We only accept original content and strongly encourage articles grounded in real-world practice. We believe this addresses a key gap in the sector and serves as a valuable complement to existing or new research.
Your article must be:
- Relevant to the African impact sector.
- No longer than 1800 words.
- Written in simple, clear language. Avoid industry jargon. If you must use it, please provide or link to an explanation.
- Properly linked for all data, claims, and citations.
- Based on verified sources and data.
- Ideally drawn from knowledge generated through practice or research.
- Fully written and sourced by a human author—not by artificial intelligence (AI).
- Focused on actionable insights, not promotion.
- Prepared to meet Africa Impact Review’s editorial standards. Articles that do not meet these standards will undergo several rounds of editing. Please be ready to commit to this process before you submit.
Style
- Articles can be attributed to a writer, an organisation, or both.
- We encourage writing in the first person or a neutral voice.
